Psalms for All Seasons

The Chaos of Silence.

I tried to find the silence but morning birds filled up the space.

I looked again at noon but children’s laughter got in the way.

The guitar’s strum,

The cricket’s drumming filled the room.

Filled the air.

Filled the skies.

They say the silence is intended to direct my soul to You.

But maybe above the silence rings the blessings You endue.

The chirping.

Tweeting.

Giggling.

Cleaning.

Harmony.   Melody.      Resonates.           Then awakes my soul.

To the abundance.

The graciousness.

The glory

Of You.
